Our Story

Starting off as a childminder with a huge heart of passion and love, our founder Jacqueline Eastwood started Jacqueline's Gems in 1997.  Her goal was to work closely with parents to make the best future for the children, as well as creating a safe environment for the children to thrive in.  In fact her passion even inspired her husband, David Eastwood to become the first male childminder in Bexley.  

While Jacqueline is sadly no longer with us, her legacy still stands and grows bigger every year.  Now run by her 3 children Danny, Kerry, and Amy Eastwood, Jacqueline’s Gems now has multiple school clubs, and even opened a popular new soft play centre called Kassiopi Cove.

Adopting the ethos "learning through play" and providing outstanding childcare at extremely competitive prices. Jacqueline's Gems earned a huge network of trusting parents, with nearly all parents coming back to us again and again with new children. In fact most parents find us through word of mouth, based on our longstanding reputation as a warm, caring and quality childcare service.
